Accessibility features available for this event: Wheelchair Access

City of Floating Sounds invites you to travel through the city listening to fragments of Huang Ruo's new symphony before its world premiere at Aviva Studios. You can make your own way to the venue or join in at one of our suggested starting places. This route begins in Sackville Gardens.

At 1.2 miles, this is the second longest route, suitable for those comfortable travelling slightly longer distances, and moving at a slightly quicker pace. The average walking time according to Google Maps is 28 minutes.

This route combines the melodies of the orchestral symphony with the dynamic sounds of the urban environment of central Manchester.

Starting at Sackville Gardens, this route will take you through the city centre and past St Peter’s Square, for the most part avoiding main thoroughfares in favour of quieter streets.

You'll then travel through the peaceful St John’s Gardens and arrive at the Water Street entrance to Aviva Studios.

This route and the journey time may be challenging for wheelchair users and those with other access requirements. You can see videos of the route here.

Wheelchair users may prefer the ‘Choose your own path’ option which may allow for a more comfortable, adaptable experience – please see more details under the ticket booking options.
