City of Floating Sounds invites you to travel through the city listening to fragments of Huang Ruo's new symphony before its world premiere at Aviva Studios. You can make your own way to the venue or join in at one of our suggested starting places. This route begins in Peel Park.

At 1.1 miles, this is a shorter route, suitable for those who prefer to travel at a more leisurely pace.

The route begins at Peel Park, a beautiful green space behind Salford Museum. The quiet green space is quickly contrasted with the energy of Crescent (A6) before taking you through calmer back streets on the way to Lockside Lane.

You can take in the scenery travelling along the canal path before the final stretch towards Aviva Studios, joining the congregation at the building via the Ordsall Footbridge.
