We're visiting all 10 boroughs in Greater Manchester, offering FREE workshops at local libraries and community centres.

It's not just about honing your dance, circus and craft skills; it's about connecting with your community and finding out more about The Welcome, a nine-day extravaganza coming to Aviva Studios this autumn.

Dive into the world of dance, circus and craft with our talented facilitators. Let loose, try something new and experience the magic of dance, circus and craft.

Workshops

Take part in a Free Flow workshop and join Company Chameleon to explore the elements of qi gong – fire, water, earth, metal and wood – through creative dance and movement.

10.30am – 12.00pm

Get involved in the Join the Circus workshop, where you can learn how to perform skills in a non-competitive, inclusive environment, led by Skylight Circus Arts and Circus Sensible.

1.00pm – 2.30pm

What is The Welcome?

The Welcome is a series of events celebrating the opening of Aviva Studios, curated by the Factory Assembly. Representing a cross-section of the people of Greater Manchester, we’re calling the shots with a programme that brings together the best in circus, street culture, music, food, art and more.

This is your chance to be part of The Welcome Roadshow, ask us questions in person and explore some of the themes of the The Welcome – right before the main event takes off in a few weeks!

What to expect

Workshops are for children aged 5 to 13 years old, and parents and carers if you want to take part too!

No experience required – our talented facilitators are here to guide you.

There’ll be snacks and refreshments provided.
