Explore the life of Manchester boxing legend Len Johnson – plus a performance of The Great British Lie
Celebrate the life of a boxing titan and learn about an important part of history with an anti-racism workshop and performance.
Odd Arts has teamed up with local campaigner Lamin Touray, along with members of the Hulme and Moss Side community, to create Knockout Blow!, which addresses systematic racial inequalities in Manchester by celebrating the city’s Black history and role models.
After the workshop, stick around for Curtis Cole's The Great British Lie – a show that tackles the history of racism in a lively, engaging way.
The Welcome: Community Takeover is a series of free events at Aviva Studios featuring creative workshops, talks, kids’ activities and the best local music. Just drop by the Social – there's always something on.
