Join choreographer Crystal Pite and NDT1 dancer Barry Gans as they reflect on the world premiere of Figures in Extinction

Join choreographer Crystal Pite and dancer Barry Gans for a closing talk focusing on the choreography of Figures in Extinction.

Hear about their use of movement as an artform to address the issues of our time as well as their experience of bringing this urgent story to the stage in Manchester.

Co-created by Crystal Pite – who is known for her breathtaking and boundary-pushing work in dance – and celebrated actor, writer, director and co-founder of Complicité Simon McBurney, Figures in Extinction is a thought-provoking meditation on the natural world and our relationship to it.

Barry Gans is part of the NDT1 company and a dancer in the show.

Figures in Extinction

A group of dancers stood in a line with their arms extended forward, moving in blurred motion. The lighting is dim, casting dramatic shadows.
Experience a moving and timely new work from choreographer Crystal Pite and director Simon McBurney – the culmination of their award-winning dance trilogy exploring the age of disconnection.
