I'm Arlene, I'm from Ashton and when it says the Factory Assembly is made up of people aged 17 to 70, I'm the 70!

What makes me get out of bed on a wet Manchester morning, get on a bus then a tram, then the little free bus to Quay Street and down to Aviva Studios? And what would it take for you to make that same journey? Whatever is at the end of all that must be amazing. That goes without saying!

Everything I have ever attended at Manchester International Festival or Aviva Studios has been well worth that journey. It's more than that though. It's the people who welcome you at the other end! It's the absolutely wonderful bunch of volunteers, the people who meet and greet you and want to welcome you to the delights of this brilliant thing that is Factory International. Just come and say hello to them!

So give it go! No obligation and most of it’s free! Pick something that takes your fancy. I truly hope you catch a tiny bit of the magic that would open the door and hook you in to a new world of possibilities – just like I get from being involved with Factory International!
