Pavilion Theatre
Pavilion Theatre
Along with three shows from Neneh Cherry, a series of shows curated by Jamal Edwards for SB.TV, Rob da Bank’s journey through Manchester music and a special discussion with Matthew Barney and Jonathan Bepler, MIF’s very own Pavilion Theatre played host to a packed line-up of clubs, gig nights and special events.
- Gigs from MONEY and local heroes Delphic packed the intimate theatre for two and three nights respectively
- Founded by the Festival for MIF13, the Sacred Sounds Women’s Choir performed a special show in the theatre following their concert with the BBC Philharmonic
- DJ, author and Manchester expert Dave Haslam engaged Delphic, Jamal Edwards, Neneh Cherry, Rob da Bank and Kevin Cummins in lively chat as part of our In Conversation series, before hosting his ever-popular Yellow club night on the final Saturday
- Drunk at Vogue brought The House of Popular Disco to Festival Square on the first Friday of MIF13
- MIF celebrated the life of inimitable British composer Steve Martland, who died two months before the Festival, with an evening of music from the specially reformed Steve Martland Band
