Laurie returned to the Festival – and with Artangel’s Michael Morris, shared her ideas for a major new work for The Factory

Four years after she broke ground on The Factory site and two years after she sent MIF19 To the Moon, Laurie Anderson returned to MIF for an online conversation with Michael Morris – and presented a glimpse into some of the ideas she's developing for a major new work planned for The Factory, MIF’s future year-roundhome.

Laurie Anderson is one of America’s most renowned and daring creative pioneers, best known for her multimedia presentations and innovative use of technology. As writer, director, visual artist, and vocalist, she has created groundbreaking works that span the worlds of art, theatre, and experimental music. Together with Hsin-Chien Huang, she presented To the Moon at MIF19.

Michael Morris has been Co-Director of Artangel since 1991: building it into a significant international commissioning and producing organisation, working internationally with artists across the visual arts and performance, and forging innovative collaborations with film and new media. He is also a longtime MIF Artistic Advisor.
