We went all out for the final day of MIF23 – with Northern Soul DJ legend Colin Curtis and a chance to make connections at our Artist Social and We Gather

It’s always sad to wave goodbye to Fezzy Square, but we had a day filled with activities and events for all ages in the perfect farewell...until 2025. When one door closes another opens, so we started. our day making new connections at We Gather where we brought together friends and neighbours old and new, to celebrate new beginnings with a morning of music, conversation and fun.

Kids loved the Square in the afternoon with local dance school JD Dance dishing out feel-good vibes. We stayed on, mingled and met fellow artists with our Artist Social curated by Griot Gabriel and Jasmine Issaka.

Winding down in the late afternoon for our final slot on the Square, Dave Haslam welcomed a living legend of the Northern Soul and jazz dance scene: Colin Curtis. With a career spanning decades, Colin was one of the first British DJs to bring a range of genres like Chicago house, funk and disco to the club scene, so we knew he would deliver the tunes. We had a great Sunday afternoon boogie, did you?
