The Lounge Society and Blanketman are two of the North West’s brightest new bands – and with thanks to curator and longtime MIF pal Dave Haslam, we brought them both to you on 12 July for a pulse-raising Monday-night double-header. We were also thrilled to be joined by UNKLE's James Lavelle, who picked and played his Records of Reflection with MIF's own Jane Beese.

We started in mellow fashion with our final Midday Meditation, followed by sets from excellent musician–producer Shunya, old-timey trio Dr Butler’s Hatstand Medicine Band and DJ Bobby. Acoustic duo At Home with Lilac and two DJ sets from Hooting and Howling’s Charlotte Davies rounded out the line-up.
