Inspired by the Festival’s ambition to cover the urgent stories of our time, MIF07 staged three lively and enlightening discussions on a trio of diverse and pressing topics. Dr Kevin Anderson, Director of Manchester’s Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, and Cape Farewell’s David Buckland took part in The Future of the Planet; Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell and Professor Raymond Tallis, both from the University of Manchester, spoke on The Future of the Body; and The Guardian’s Georgina Henry was among the panellists debating The Future of Journalism.
