The soulful hip hop trailblazers play a hometown show headlined by grime legend Ghetts. Plus 80s R&B stars Loose Ends and support from the next generation of Manchester talent.

Children of Zeus are back in their hometown with a celebration of hip hop from the past, present and future featuring the legendary Loose Ends. Topping the bill is one of the UK’s finest MCs – very special guest Ghetts.

Children of Zeus is a collaboration between two Manchester-based artists: DJ, producer and rapper Konny Kon and producer, soul singer and rapper Tyler Daley. In 2018, they burst on to the city’s music scene with Travel Light – an irresistible, soul-infused, hip hop debut. In 2021, the critically acclaimed duo released the equally impressive follow-up Balance and embarked on a UK and European tour.

For one night only, Children of Zeus take us on a journey through hip hop. Discover the sounds of the future with support from some of the North’s hottest up-and-coming artists – Gyalex, [ K S R ], Akemi Fox and KinKai – and go back to its roots with R&B pioneers Loose Ends.

Finally, Children of Zeus take to the stage for a full set before grime king Ghetts closes up a night to remember.

This event takes place in the Warehouse at Aviva Studio. This is a large, high ceilinged space.

There is step-free access to all areas of the venue and the performance space. Access to the Warehouse is via lifts (or stairs) which are located to the left of the city entrance to the building.

For this gig, we will have two accessible viewing platforms available for anyone who needs a wheelchair space or a seat for access reasons. AVP 1 is a small, lower platform with ramp access, which is located to one side of the room closer to the stage area – this has limited capacity. The second, larger capacity AVP 2 is located towards the back of the Warehouse – it is higher above the crowd and has lift access at either end which will be staffed throughout the night. This platform will have dedicated bar service.

The bars at our venue have lowered accessible service points, and induction loops at selected till points.

There is likely to be high noise levels and use of lighting effects such as strobe/haze used at this event.

You can find further information about general accessibility at Aviva Studios on our main Access Information page

There are accessible toilets on all public levels of our building.

Accessible toilets are located inside the main toilets space in the brick arches of the Social.

Here you’ll find a mixture of accessible cubicles with left- or right-hand transfer, as well as ambulant accessible cubicles with grab rails. This is also where you can find our Changing Places facility.

The toilets in the brick arches of the Social are gender neutral, so you can use facilities in any of the three arches.

There are additional accessible toilets in located in both Hall Foyers, at stalls and circle level.

You do not need a key to use the accessible toilets at Aviva Studios.

Assistance dogs are welcome at Aviva Studios, and we can provide mats and bowls in the Social on request. For this show, where the noise levels are likely to be too high for assistance dogs to go into the performance, we are happy to take care of your dog while you are enjoying the gig.

If you need to bring your assistance dog to this event, please get in touch with us on access@factoryinternational.org or by calling 0161 817 4531 (lines are open 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday) so that we can make appropriate arrangements with you.

We will be using Williams WaveCAST headsets for both assisted listening and personal induction loops in the building. For this gig, we will have WaveCAST headsets with earphones for assisted listening, and with neckloops for personal induction loops for hearing aid users available to borrow – please ask one of our hosts when you arrive, or email access@factoryinternational.org. You can also download the WaveCAST app to your own device, and use your own earphones to join the assisted listening channel for the event when you arrive.
