A new film by Manchester filmmaker Joshua Bridge with poetry by Charlie O’Brien, responding to the question ‘What do you want?’

The film was commissioned as part of Mary Anne Hobbs and Anna Phoebe’s WHAT DO YOU WANT? which premiered at Manchester International Festival 2025. The duo placed a billboard in Manchester City Centre and collected responses from the public to the question. At the end of the festival, Hobbs and Phoebe united for a singular, never-to-be-repeated performance responding to our wants, hopes and desires.
