Trackie McLeod talking in his studio with a Burberry patterned artwork behind him

Trackie McLeod | In the Studio | Factory International

VHS tapes. Shelves of '90s tat. A JD sports bag made of concrete. Entering Trackie McLeod’s studio is like stepping back in time.

The Glasgow artist has made a name for himself through provocative artworks dripping in Scottish humour and nostalgia for our pre-internet age. Now Trackie presents UTOPIA – a working men’s pub and exhibition space built inside the Warehouse here at Aviva Studios.

We caught up with Trackie to talk about the project, Glasgow's cultural influence and using nostalgia as a tool to make art inclusive. Get a first glimpse of some of the artworks presented in UTOPIA, which was curated by Factory International's Young Curators.

Trackie McLeod: UTOPIA runs from 19 to 21 February at Aviva Studios. Explore the full line-up here.
