LaTurbo Avedon is an artist and curator born online, a being that only exists in the virtual realm.
Through character customisation, LaTurbo lives their reality through digital media; gaming, video, online writing, 3D modelling and social media. They adapt and evolve as simulation tools develop and enter the zeitgeist.
There is a chance that our paths may have crossed before but not in the ways you may typically expect. It would have never been on a sidewalk or in a crowd. I may have been your teammate, your adversary. LaTurbo Avedon
Through their artwork, they play with and deconstruct our ideas about identity and authorship in digital spaces and societies embrace of technology.

Since 2008 LaTurbo Avedon has been experimenting in digital environments; whether spending months exploring the vast lands of Red Dead Redemption 2 ; curating and designing Panther Modern, a file-based exhibition space; creating new emojis (their Mirror Emoji will be available later this year); or teaming up with Laurel Halo on a unique show from Japanese hologram-pop-star Hatsune Miku.
They’ve exhibited work at Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), TRANSFER Gallery New York, Galeries Lafayette Paris and Elektra Digital Art Festival in Montreal.
As a virtual resident of London’s Somerset House, they created Club Rothko, a labyrinth of nightclub rooms where users could create their own sculptures, or purely spend time watching LaTurbo interacting with artworks.
