Inspired by Robin/Red/Breast

New Writers brings you flash fiction from emerging writers based in the North of England. For our first call-out, we asked writers to respond to the themes of Robin/Red/Breast – a new play by Maxine Peake, Sarah Frankcom and Imogen Knight inspired by the cult horror classic Robin Redbreast.

"I really enjoyed reading all of the entries and seeing how the writers had expertly handled the themes in such different ways. The stories were uncanny and beautifully written."

Daisy Johnson, writer of Robin/Red/Breast, author of Fen, Everything Under and Sisters, and the youngest person ever to be shortlisted for the Booker Prize.
