Access Performance Information

If you’re interested in hearing updates about our accessible performances or booking access tickets, you can join our Access Mailing List by registering or logging in to ‘My Account’ and selecting your access requirements under ‘other preferences’.

At the bottom of this page you can see a key for different types of Access performance and what they mean.

Access performance types

AD: Audio-described

Audio description offers an introduction/commentary of the visual action to assist blind and visually impaired patrons. This is usually delivered via an earpiece and will be available from event pages.

BSL: British Sign Language interpreted performance

A British Sign Language interpreter will translate the spoken words for BSL users.

CAP: Captioned performance

Captioning displays dialogue and some sound effects as visible text on a screen or mobile device for anyone who would find this useful.

REL: Relaxed performance

Relaxed performances welcome all who may benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders or a learning disability, or those with babes in arms.
